Updates
Dear Parents, Families and Guardians of First-Year Students,
We wrote to you last week with information about traveling to campus and checking in. Now that most students have arrived in Providence for the start of the spring semester, we are writing to share with you the messages we have communicated to students recently.
On Tuesday, Jan. 12, we wrote to on-campus undergraduate students with Information about Quiet Period Stage One. During stage one of the Quiet Period, students must remain in their residential buildings except for a limited number of specific essential activities such as routine COVID testing and picking up meals from the dining hall.
On Wednesday, Jan. 13, we wrote to all students in the Providence area with reminders about COVID Information and Campus Operations.
The Healthy Brown website continues to be the primary location for information about prevention, testing and tracing, academics, research and life on campus amid the pandemic. On this website, you will also find the current Campus Activity Status, COVID-19 Dashboard and copies of our Messages to the Community.
We know this is a challenging time for your student to be embarking on their college experience and for you to be supporting them. If your student needs assistance or support, they can connect with their residential Area Coordinator (AC) or a dean in Student Support Services or the College. The Administrator On Call (AOC), Health Services and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are available to students 24/7 regardless of their physical location.
Sincerely,
Eric Estes
Vice President for Campus Life
Rashid Zia
Dean of the College
